im currently in spain i got a company to connect me to a satellite i presume there using the english free view its costing me 20 euro a week i was thinking of bringing the box they gave me homne how easy would it be to find that channel there using tthey are using a card its simulat tv spain in ireland what sort of a sattelite would i need for it has about 50 channels pretty cool hand y when ur away and no english channels
I'd say the reason this is not answered yet is because most the people on these forums are in the UK or Ireland. http://www.simulsattv.com/ What exactly do you want to do? Bring the box back to the UK? They are just rebroadcasting free to air satellite channels and charging you for a box and aerial. read more here http://www.thespainforum.com/f286/simulsat-tv-160289/
if i bring the box back what sort of a satellitee will i need and can i pick up the channels here in ireland they give mne a card do i not need this card i have to use them as the apaprtment block wont let us put up our own dishes
that box wont pick up anything in Ireland as far as I can make out, please post the model number of your box to confirm. For FTA in Ireland you need a sat dish pointed at the astra2 satellite(sky) and any FTA reciever or a skybox without card will get you a good few channels
but if get a satteliite and hitting there satteliite would i not pick up the channels i get in spain cause they must be using something to beam it to me in spain i get u the number serial
Firstly you will need to know what satellite you are pointing to in Spain and see if its possible to align a dish in Ireland to that satellite , because we are north of Spain this may be a problem or may just require a large dish at the correct position , there is a useful tool on this site that will give you the correct angles for your address http://bytelive.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=How to align a satellite dish
hi folks its a co ship cdvbc 5120 digital reciever i think there are more channels on this esp spanish sports ones than whats on teh freeview just anyone recommend a good sattelitte company to put up a dish and help me out
What you have is not sat , its mmds the spanish company are just rebroadcasting sat over an mmds network , a setup like this was recently closed down in the alicante area. You will not receive that service here . DVB C boxes can only receive cable signals
really so im wondering what there charging me the 20 eurpo for so what exactly are they doing there taking it illegally and how do i get it is it something to do with there card
i believe an ex guardia civila is running it what annoys me is the apartment complex will only let you use this company
you cant use that box in Ireland, you can get the same channels for free with a dish What help do you want?
any FTA sat system will get you chans, thats why i said a basic one from aldi or lidl when they have them
