Hello I am trying to find a simple solution to uploading game .sav files from my DS pokemon Diamond cart onto my PC (for pokesav editing). I bought this device from gameshark that purports to serve the purpose (but does not work for my pokemon diamon game for some reason) : link here it's strange because it works for other games that I tested, but not for pokemon diamond. anyway - can somesome please suggest a *Simple* product that I can use *only* for : 1.) copying save game information from my DS cart to my PC 2.) copying save game information from my PC back onto my cart after editing with pokesav I see tons of media discussion with homebrew style carts that play movies and music - and I don't want any of that. All I want the capability to do is copy/move .sav information back and forth between my DS and PC.
It sounds like you want to take the save information from an original game card, but without using an R4/M3/DSTT etc... I'm not familiar with anything other than what you're currently using. I would recommend contacting GameShark (http://store.gameshark.com/help_customersupport.asp#Contact)and asking them if there's a reason you can't transfer the save file for Pokemon Diamond.
Thanks - yeah it looks like it was patched (but they only released the patch on the gameshark forums) I installed it and it works great
