looking in some of the other forums they talk about simply renaming the .VOB file to an .mpg file.

I've ripped my DVD's to my hardrive with DVD Decrypter with the IFO setting so that I have only one .VOB file for the whole movie.

I need to save/convert it to a mpeg-2 format if possible.

How do I actually save the .VOB file as an mpeg-2 file without purchasing additional software like Cinematize 2.0

Well you Could Simply Run the VOB file through a Mpeg editor and simply save it as a mpeg-2 file....

I use something like "Womble Mpeg2VCR"....I just Load the VOB file into it and then just save it and you will have a Mpeg-2 file....

You could also use the "Demultiplex" in Tmpgenc"s "Mpeg tools" to seperate the VOB file into a M2V Video file and an AC3 audio file and then use the "Simple Multiplex" in Tmpgenc to Mux the M2V and AC3 into a Mpeg-2 File.....

    Cheers
