This may sound a little extreme. But depending on the need, it will work. If a regular polisher doesn't cut it. I have used on dozens of occasions, car wax. The polishers use a fine aluminum oxide paste to buff the scratches. Car wax is not that different, I think it has silica in it. Put it on a cotton ball and work in progressively larger circles. Clean with rubbing alcohol to remove the residue. Then follow up with a polisher. I had to do this to a set of publishing disks that my great dane used as a chew toy. I'm still using them today.

Some gaming stores or pawn shops, have a machine that will resurface (buff out) a game, cd, or movie. We have a local pawn shop with one. Thay did a game disc, that had a deep scratch on it. It looked and played like new, after they did it. They charge $1.99 per disc. Price may vary. Call around to the stores and ask if they have one. If they don't, they may know who does.
    Good luck!

I have the Disc Doctor cleaner. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it don't. Depends on how bad the scratches are. All the cleaning machines only work on the factory pressed discs. Not burned discs, at all.
