I have recently been experiencing a very aggravating problem with my DVD player. I have a Sony DAV-C450. I have never seen a DVD that this player wouldn't play. But the other day, I tried playing a copy of "Life is Beautiful" that I had bought a family member for Christmas. I got a blue screen saying that the parental controls prohibited me from viewing the disc. When asked if I wished to view the disc, i clicked "YES", and it then asked me to enter a password so that it could temporarily raise the content level to "8". Hold on. No one in my family has ever set parental controls on our DVD player, as there is no one in the household young enough to justify the use of them, so how are we supposed to enter a password that we never set? I was also quite confused when it wanted to change the level to "8", because, as I understand, "8" is UNRATED, "7" is NC-17, "6" is R, and so on. "Life is Beatiful is a PG movie. This makes no sense at all, and I can't find any documentation on how to reset the controls in the manual.

This is a very annoying problem, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much, I must have missed that in the manual. I have got it to work now.
