What link are you trying to send?
Sounds like the link you are trying to send is no longer viewable - gone or maybe moved.

It was a a 3.50 downgrade tutorial with lumines. When i tried the [/url] things it put the link of the home page and not the actual link for the downgrade tutorial...

Ok leave the url tag off of it - like Dr1ver pointed out.

The url tag is if you want to make like words say a hyperlink like this:
    lumines downgrader

[*url=http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/537943 ]type in text here of what you want it to display as a hyper-link[*/url]

Upload your image to a site like image shack or photobucket.

They usually give you the img tag w/ the url in it to display the image on a message board - you just need to make the IMG tag lower case.

    Example (remove asterisks):
    [*img]http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c27/binkie7/stuff1/atom.gif[*/img]

    Looks like this:

Oh and moving this thread to a more appropriate forum :)
