    Hi
I am somewhat new to all this, I'll try to be brief and to the point. What I’m trying to do is take a vcd
And convert it to regular clips on my computer. I’m trying to find a program that can convert to a format that I can copy to my computer delete some files and re-burn to a vcd. If anyone can help I really appreciate it.

You don"t need a Program to copy the Video file to your PC...You just put the VCD into your CD-Drive and go on the Disk into the "MpegAV" folder and copy the "AVSEQ01.DAT" file to your Desktop and then rename the extention from .DAT to .mpg and then you will have a File you can Play on your PC....

If you want to cut the VCD/mpg into small clips you will need a Mpeg editor..Most mpeg editors are not frame accurate and can cause you Sync Problems after editing and one of the Only Frame accurate Mpeg editors I know of is called "Mpeg2VCR" ....

    Ok
    I don't think i explained myself properly.
What I'm trying to do is take a vcd which consists of 13 music video clips. extract only the videos i want from it and place them on a new vcd. I tried a few different programs like WinAVI, AIMONE video converter and other, but they don't recognize the format the vcd is on.
    Thanks
    Dave

I understand what you want to do....
and Like I said you will have to Rip the Mpeg/Dat file off of the VCD and then use a Mpeg editor and cut out the Parts that you want to keep and then Re-author them to VCD...

You do not need a Converter or an Encoder or anything like that...You just need to get the Mpeg/Dat file off of the VCD and then Cut out the Parts you want and then Put those Parts on a New VCD......
