I am still new to this R4DS and still waiting for my shipment. I have downloaded some games that have 4 letter serial number and some without. What does Serial number mean beside the game? What is the Game Code and CRC ued for? Could someone briefly explain if I need these numbers and if I can run games without them? http://www.r4ds.com/product-2-en.htm#a4 Thanks!
The serial number is the number of the scene release of the game, it is somewhere around 1460 or so now. The rest of those numbers are action replay codes. They have nothing to do with playing the games, though games with serial numebrs are more reliable as they tend to be official scene releases.
so if its like number 2184 then that means that the rom is the 2184th released one? hypothetically of course
