HI, had a few probs with the pc like slow internet connection, certain pages not loading, the screen looking different, eg, no little green squares when loading a page, so i did some looking about,, tried "network connections,", nothing came up, so i went onto Services.msc and found that almost all of them had been disabled????? how, why?? the only thing i can think of is that windows did an update, its the first one since we had a new windows SP2, on the pc, its validated so should this disable every service?? i had to get my laptop and copy what was running, manual, automatic from that to the pc, as i dont know what should be on etc, all seems ok now but what disabled so many?? any ideas?
I've seen some spyware/malware do that to machines. Make sure you run ad-aware, spybot and/or spyware doctor to get rid of any spyware on your machine. Also, install and maintain a anti-virus program on your machine. Many people use kapersky but i myself use mcafee enterprise. if you need more specific help, message me.
thanks for that, i have nod32 on, it did pick up a trojan and deleted it,,, i think it was in system restore?? now, no warning came up when the attack came,,,,,,, and system restore was turned off!? so i have no points to go back to,,,,,, ive done other scans but ive read of some other downloads free for windows so i might do that,,,,,, as i said ive copied what was manual, auto and started from my own laptop,and everything seems fine,,,, ill do some more scans and let you know cheers
