GREETINGS AND SALUTATIONS: I HAVE ENJOYED BURNING USING RIPIT4ME/VTS/DVD DECRYPTER. ALWAYS WORKED GREAT UNTIL I TRIED TO BURN "OPEN SEASON." SINCE THAN NOTHING WORKS! I HAVE DOWNLOADED ANY DVD, CLONE DVD, IMAGE BURN, DVD FAB, AND NOTHING WILL SUFFICE! I AM COMPLETELY LOST. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME INSTRUCTIONS (IN "DUMMIES TERMS") IN WHAT I SHOULD DO NEXT. Very simple... crap disks. Buy some good ones instead of those cheapo maxell or whatever CMC-MAG made they may be. Looks familiar?? http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=192458 Currently only verbatim are making any d/l disks worth paying for.
knitro, first off DON"T type in all caps its against forum rules plus its hard to read. ok try a firmware update for you're drive/burner, check here\ http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php try just using clonedvd 2 + anydvd doing the movie only also use good media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning no faster then 8x heres some step by step guides to use the software you have, follow them http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/
It's not "very simple." The drive in question cannot recognize the discs being used, so it cannot apply the correct write strategy. The drive has attempted to adjust its power levels 20 times until the PCA was filled--and still no acceptable signal. It could be "crappy discs," and anyone is free to stick in any brand he or she is biased against under that category; but it is more likely to be limited firmware support for the discs. A drive that is 2.5 years old is ancient these days when new M-codes and new speeds have been introduced. There are several other manufacturers of decent DL media besides Verbatim, but they are supported very poorly. Verbatim is the best supported DL manufacturer since they invented the medium. Taiyo Yuden is not even attempting to introduce their DL until they have gotten drive support because they risk the same attacks leveled against the non-Verbatim brands when their DL media fail to work.
