Setting 2nd hard drive as a slave...

    i have another harddrive i want to make a slave so i can see it from my master hard drive in the my computer window. what wires do i have to connect pics would be very helpful\

    if on same cable as master hd than move jumper on back or bottom of drive to slave & make certain the master drive jumper is set as master

    I connected a second hard drive in my pc but I cannot find or use it.
    I have a soyo kt400 ultra.

    does the motherboard see the drive? is it see in device manager. what format is it in & the c:drive?

    No i haven't. How do I format it and set it up as another drive?

    no problem,hit start go to my computer right click it and go to manage and then go to disk management and see if it comes out there if it does right click it again and format it

    i see my c volume in ntfs
    below that i see disk 0 which is my original hd and disk 1 which says unallocated and if i right click all i get is convert to dynamic disk, properties and help

    ok don't right click it where it says disk 1 move to the empty space to the right and right click it,it should say make new partion,format and some other options let me know
