i put together a p.c with new parts but have no idea about setting up the bios.
i could have used the defaults but a friend and i decided to 'tinker' with it.
now i'm not sure its right and would appreciate some tech help setting it up correctly. only trouble is i'm a complete novice so would need a walkthrough.
i really want to do this in order to learn something about the bios 'hands-on', rather than from some over complicated book.
    below is my build.....
    intel quad core q6600 cpu
    PNY GeForce 8 8800GT - graphics adapter - GF 8800 GT - 512 MB
    WD Caviar SE16 - hard drive - 500 GB - ATA-100
    Corsair XMS2 Xtreme Performance TwinX Matched - memory - 2 GB ( 2 x 1 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR II
    ASUS P5N-E SLI - motherboard - ATX - nForce 650i SLI
Antec Sonata III ATX case, 500 watt psu.

    thanx in advance

What do you need to do in the BIOS? There's no real reason to go in there if nothing's wrong other than to overclock it, and the P5N-E SLI is an unstable and unreliable motherboard, so that's best avoided.
