I have been using Nero for single layer backups since forever but was just told by someone that Nero sometimes creates "non-compliant" dvds and that outputting to an iso instead of video-files and burning with imgburn v2 is superior. Is this true? I would've thought Nero, being an expensive program and under constant development would be superior to freeware, (no offense to LightningUK).
That's like saying that Windows is better than Linux distros just cos it's updated and costs a lot. IMO, neither method is superior when it comes to single layer dvd burning. It usually boils down to personal preference. However, IMGBurn is superior to Nero for DL burning, as it handles the layer break better.
