Hellow people, sorry if you think this thread is useless but im in a position well very inbetween to choices should I or shouldnt I buy a DSI?,
Firstly I own a couple of consoles and its a pain always buying the good games when you have a couple of consoles, (Wii,Ps3,PSP-3000,DS Phat)
I dont play the DS much but personaly i think if I got my own personal DSI i would probably play it quite a bit, my brother has a DS lite that I can use at any time, but as you know when you share stuff which I do with all my consoles except the Ps3 which I paid for, you have to be carefull and thus i personally never carry it out, the DS phat is just obsolete IMO ugly in every way and its aging quite a bit too.
So my question is should i spend 300au on a DSI or just leave the money for something better and more worthwhile?

    I wouldn't

Its at the top of its price, there are no carts available for DSi games - so it only plays DS carts, may have poor support from game manufacturers.

I would wait 6 months and see (and yes I know you can go on the net and get DSi downloads) but apart from the camera's no real difference at the moment (the faster processer is not being used as yet).

Bit like paying $1000 for a DVD player - hey it may be the next Betamax (if your old enough to remember them)!

Personally I'm waiting to see what homebrewers can do with it. If we get good homebrew like better emulators and such then I might get one.

Otherwise I'm perfectly happy with my DS lite.

Wait until they have some exclusive DSi retail games for it. By the time they do, there probably will be a price drop anyway.

i would say just go for it, the dsi is a great system, i know many people say that there isnt enough improvements but there will be. i had a ds lite and i went to a local gamestop and they gave me $70 dollars credit. i'm very pleased with it. with time they will release updates like the psp and it will be able to do alot more. also remember its always good to get consoles at launch because people will find ways to modify them and its always easier to do the first one before the companies block them. like psp etc..

Can you use the MS real in the DSi? My daughter can't get it to work and is very very disappointed as she sold her DS and invested her pocket money and birthday moeny.

    Any help would be appreciated.

The MS real does not work with the DSi , get the Acekard 2i and she will be fine for the moment ( you can get it for under 20 dollars ).
