I just bought a Pioneer OEM burner (model 106D). My question is, should I upgrade to the new firmware? Where do I find that upgrade? I'm kinda worried about doing it, because I'm thinking "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

If it were broken, I wouldn't hesistate to try to do anything to mess with it. As it's not broken at present, is it advisable to upgrade the firmware... that's the question! :)

I've got the same burner and indeed upgraded.
The upgrade is basically tables with new data for several DVD brands and keeps your burner actualized. Sometimes also minor bugfixes.JP.
