I just bought a Pioneer OEM burner (model 106D). My question is, should I upgrade to the new firmware? Where do I find that upgrade? I'm kinda worried about doing it, because I'm thinking "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
If it were broken, I wouldn't hesistate to try to do anything to mess with it. As it's not broken at present, is it advisable to upgrade the firmware... that's the question!
I've got the same burner and indeed upgraded. The upgrade is basically tables with new data for several DVD brands and keeps your burner actualized. Sometimes also minor bugfixes.JP.
