    if u mean modchips than heres wat ull need 2 kno:

    modchips disable the xbox BIOS (know as TSOP) and runs the one on the chip

    if ur looking to just play "backups" and maybe install a homebrew dash u can get a cheap chip like alladin XT or DUOX 2 Lite - http://www.divineo.com - if u want instructions look em up on google
