i recently downloaded the new mac osx and the file came at 6.6gb. after extracting it the file was a .dmg, which ive read is the mac version of pc's .iso. ive found a bunch of conversion programs but none of them work. i keep gettting a error. first i compressed the .dmg and it changed to a .uif. and when i open it up in IsoBuster, after recovering files from it, one of the files was a .dll.exe but i couldn't extract it. a little box pops up then goes away really quick. i read that you should decompress it, so i decompressed the .uif in magicISO or something like that, and supposedly it changed to an iso but it didnt..is there anyway i could shrink the .dmg file to fit it onto a 4.7gb dvd? seeing how my burner isn't dl.
ok...i got it to convert from .dmg to .iso. but when i open it up in Ultra ISO I get a prompt saying "unsupported block size, HFS volume will be skipped". then the total size of what shows up it just a few hundred mb. when the iso itself is like 6gb.
