You can only booktype DVD+R's...are you using DVD-R's. Also is your drive capable of bitsetting?

You should be able to booktype with that drive
here is a link on booktyping for ya
    http://www.k-probe.com/bitsetting-booktype-faq.php

also in dvd decrypter if you go 2 TOOLS DRIVE CHECK FOR FIRMWARE UPDATES
it will bring you to a webpage with all the current updates for your Drive you may find own that updates your firmware so you can booktype there...

well if you're using Fab Decrypter to just copy the files to the hard drive there isn't an option to booktype.. you only use the booktype function when you burn ... What you could try if it isn't showing up in Shrink (possibly because your current firmware doesn't support booktyping) you could have shrink save it as a ISO file then burn that ISO with DVD Decrypter and see if you have the booktype setting there

Well is it greyed out with a checkmark in the box?

Mine is greyed out also but it has a checkmark in the box for Booktype DVD-Rom

Dvd Identifier says DVD-Rom when I check the last Dvd's I've burnt with shrink so I know mine is working correctly....

It maybe greyed out on yours also if it's checked and grey out you should be ok

well if it's checked then you should be able to just burn through shrink.. It should still come up as a DVD-ROM

    do you have DVD Identifier?

    http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com/

Very helpful tool that will tell you what coding your dvd's are and once burned it will tell you what format DVD-R DV+R or DVD-ROM

I don't think you have to reset it everytime... I never reset it... and all my DVD+R have been booktyped to Dvd-Rom using decrypter....

i know i did just what you told me to do, but it seems that sometimes when i check it with that program it comes up as dvd+ after its done. i am going to try one in about an hour, after it reads the dvd i change it to write close it and open shrink, when done i write with dvd decrypter. i will let you know.
    thanks

I think the reason mine does it automaticly now that I think about it is because I ran a tool on my computer that forces my burner to write DVD+R as DVD-ROM automaticly...

here is another thread on just that
