shrinking file xvid

    i took a .x264 file and converted it to xvid. now the file is too big to fit on a dvd. is there a program i can use that will make the file size smaller without losing quality? its hd 720p btw

    Is HD 720p, or it was before you converted it to Xvid?

    Anyhow, any time you do a conversion(even to the same format, using same codec), you will have a quality loss. What program did you use to convert it?

    Try Avi ReComp to make the avi smaller.

    i use automkv. the file it made is 4,586,154 i think if i cut the open and ending credits it would be fine. is there a program for that?

    Try Avidemux or VirtualDub.
