SIM Question

    I have a USB SIM reader/writer that will read but won't write to 2 spare/unactivated cards I have. Does it take a special card to be able to write to? Thanks

    no card reader can do that. the sim HAS to be activated.

    Since I posted this, I found a program that does allow R/W to the phonebook of a unactivated card. However, I somehow managed to lock the card and I can't get it to unlock even with the PINs I used. It now asks for the PUK which I don't know. I'm trying to learn how these work before trying on an activated card.
