Sims 2 freezes

    I installed the Sims 2, but when I try to play the game, it freezes at the beginning screen. I did a systems check and my computer has all the requirements needed to play. Can anyone help?

    I've got that same problem...but it seems to run if I put the "-w -nosound" tag on, it will run, but with no sound...help!

    Have you searched for any updated patches at the Sims 2 website?
