Blu ray won the High Def wars, It won't over take standard dvd (SD DVD) for at least 10 years (My estimation). So relax and watch your SD DVDs.

Dvd should be around for a while. VHS lasted 20 + yrs. I still remember original VHS movies going for $100 in the mid 80's.

Beta lasted till a few yrs ago.It didn't last long in USA,but Japan highly favored it.

Remember the huge laser discs? LOL! I see lots of them at flea markets.

Blu-ray's still out of my budget.

These hd video disks will probably go the way of dvd-audio... niche market.
