Siren noises, comp froze...help

    my computer froze and siren sort of noises came out, like some weird melody. any ideas of what it could be? if u need any more info let me know thanks for the help

    check in the bios to see what the cpu temp is running at & see if the cpu heatsink fan is running properly

    yea it also shut off by itself. is it the cpu i have a celeron 1.7 ghz 512 mb ram. is it the cpu i was on the comp before and it just shut off by itself

    what is the cpu temp?? is it a set time before shutdown or randome??

    i dont have a temp gauge on the computer i dont know what temp it is. but do u think its a heating problem?

    Eazy, there may be a listing in your BIOS that will tell you the temps inside of your computer.

    how do i acces it. but the problem is definetly the cpu correct?>

    Sounds like it's time for a motherboard/cpu upgrade.
