I just installed XP Pro and all the software that came with my mobo and video card. (specs on sig) This program called Sis Raid always runs at the beginning and I was wondering what it was and what I should do about it? under the "Adapter" it says "sis Raid Controller 1". What should I do?

Looking at your specs the hard drive you have is IDE so the SIS raid
thats starting when you boot is not required.
Just go into the Bios and turn it off, or just leave it as it will not do any harm just add a couple of seconds to your boot time.

Sorry forgot to add that the SIS raid is used for SATA hard drives not IDE :)

Hold on before you do anything i've just checked and western make SATA Caviar drives as well.(ooops)
The raid configeration only applies if you have Two drives best just ignore it,it will not do any harm.

I just leave it as its only there for a second, turn it off if its causing a problem.
Its located generally in Intergrated peripherals but i can't go into to much detail as every mobo is different, check your manual or go to your mobo's web site.
    Cheers Chris
