I'm immediately and heartily suspicious of anything online that requires a subscription to get the deals.
The yourmusic.com site is a division of the BMG music service. They can get away with selling the cd's for $5.99 becuase they are all old cd's. They don't get cd's until they have been released for around 3-4 months. And they make you buy 1 cd per month and if you don't buy one they charge you $5.99 anyway so they probably get a lot of people's money who forget to buy a cd. If you like music and want old cd's then it is a great deal. It is legit becuase I use it to get older cd's that I want, like Nirvana. They do have crappy customer service though becuase they have like one worker, which saves them money, but still it's a good deal. Also the regular BMG music service is a good deal for older music as well. I have done that one to get older music also and they say 12 for the price of 1, but it truely is more than that. It cost $2.79 to ship each cd so you end up getting 12 cd's for around $50 which comes out to about $4 a piece which is a good deal. Once again though it is older music. They get away with these prices also because they have poor customer service, older music, and they hope you stick around. They give you *deals* like 2 for 1 which isn't a good deal becuase a cd there is 17.98 and shipping is 2.79 per cd so it is like $24 for two cd's. Thats a raw deal but *DUMB* people do it anyway so thats how BMG makes there money. So to sum that up if your looking for non new releases then I would definitely do the regular BMG music club and get your 12 for 1. But when you pay for your 1 cd get out. Cancel it so you don't get drawn in by the crappy deals that they throw at you. They are pretty lax on resigning up also so get your 12 for 1, cancel so your not drawn in, then about 2 months down the road if your itchin for more music, sign up again. I'm not trying to sell nothing here or spam or anything but the guy asked if it was a good service and I wanted to give him an honest answer. It truely is a good deal if you want older music. I wouldn't do the yourmusic.com though becuase you can just get your 12 from the regular service, then resignup a couple months later.
