Hi All, I was just wondering is it possible to get SKY Multi-Room for free. I had someone installing it in my mothers house today who said there is something you can buy that will let you have up to 4 boxes connected all watching different channels with the one sky card. He said you can buy it on ebay but didn't know what it was called. There is both a wired version and a wireless. All you need is this apparatus, a sky box for each tv and some special card that comes with this apparatus. Does anyone know what this is???
Sounds illegal to me. Hacking satellite or cable services with dodgy boxes off ebay to get a level of service you are not paying for is against the law, and it's also against the rules of this site to ask about or discuss it.

That link points to a thread about (legal) video senders which can send one (1) channel all over a house. "Sky Multiroom" which was mentioned in the thread title is a specific paid-for service from Sky TV which allows multiple satellite receivers in a house to be fed from one dish. In Britain it is quite common to hear of people buying illegal "chipped" cable and satellite boxes and fake cards from criminals which allow them to illegally steal content they are not entitled to. They can (and do) get prosecuted.
