Hi. I follow the guide from this forum to install and EAC and Lame. All the mp3's are 100% as the original cd's, but the compressing track takes 5 to 10 minutes for every song, is this normal? or is there something in the settings that I need to change? My sistem is a AMD 3000+, Win xp pro, 1GIG of ram.
    Thanks.

yeah that sounds about right. I have a Althon XP 1800 with 1GB, and it takes about 45 min to an hour to rip and compress an entire CD. to help the process go quicker, make sure you have the option checked to start encoding once the first track is done being ripped, so LAME will start encoding while the rest of the CD is still ripping.

I find that ripping from a cd image of the file is alot quicker and you don't counter any scratches.
