Slow Internet Downloads

Im trying to download Flashget but the max its downloading at is just over 1kbps! i tried other websites and mirrors but its the same. I have Internet Explorer. I also tried Firefox but thats also the same. However i can download torrents at the speed of over 240kbps. What is going on? someone please help me! :'(

 

Try reinstalling IE. Download the lastest update.

 

ive already tried that. Nothing Changes

 

Just for kicks I downloaded that file I think from filehippo. It came in at 300k. Don't have a clue what the program does so I deleated it. Lord knows I have enough programs so I was just testing the download speed. Try another source. Some parts of the net have been very slow last couple of days. 2 days ago a speed test showed 500K when it's a normal 5500K. Isp had connection problems. All back to normal. erm....well it wasn't exactly solved lol! he just gave me a good link to flashget. I tried downloading using flashget but it only manages to max 40kbps. i don't really know the problem. It could just be my luck in downloading from busy servers lol

 

i doubt it. I normally download games from steam at 2 mb/s and now im getting only 120kbsish

 

hmmm no idea. The only thing i realised was downloading anime from www.anime-eden.com. omg thats slow and pretty impossible for it to finish one episode within a day. Maybe someone can sign up and download and tell me the results. If its fast for them when downloading from a server which isn't busy, then theres definately something wrong with my Internet Downloads. Strange though, my torrent downloads i.e. Recent anime episode, reach 400kbps while uploading :s
