hi. I tried searching the forums for how to play snes roms on xbox but it didnt really help my situation. I just got my friends xbox and he has a modchip in it already. Im not sure what kind but it has a screen and the name of it says "Slayer's Evo-X" Im trying to play some snes roms on it. I couldnt find a guide. Im not sure which way would be easiest because on the main screen of the modchip,it has a section that says "self-installed emumlators." I dont know if I should be using that or just burn a CD with a snes emulator on it and put roms on it. Is there a guide out there somewhere?
I think Slayer's Autoinstaller has a SNES emulator included. All you should have to do is FTP and load all the roms into it's rom folder. Or, like you said, burn it to a disc. Get all the roms you wish to play and place it into the roms folder in whichever SNES emulator (xSNES9x for example) you choose from. Then create an xISO using Quix and burn it onto a DVD-R.
ya but Im not sure which folder is the rom folder on the xbox's hard drive. I tried putting the SMC file (the rom) onto a CD, then I copied the files onto different folders of the Xbox. I just dont know what folder I put the roms into?
Sorry.. I found the file that the roms are supposed to go in. But when I tried to go to the SNES emulator screen and load them they are not there. I put SMC files on a CD and then copied them to the folder. What am I doing wrong?
What folder did you transfer it into? Try putting it in the roms folder located inside the xSNES9x folder.
