After many years of frustration with Micro$oft, I have finally concluded that their unstable OS is really starting to annoy me. So here I am, on the Mac forums. I'm seriously considering buying a Mac, and I just wanted to get some feedback from other users. Is it noticably better than Windows? Because my primary use for my computer is gaming, I'm not sure how that will affect it.
"Is it noticably better than Windows?" Oh yeah. I just switched from windows to a Macbook pro in March and osX is better than windows. It's easy to learn too. As for gaming... Windows has by far a much greater selection and a lot of the mac games are not yet native to the intel proccessors. But, with the intel macs, you can install windows (dual boot). The windows on my MBP is faster than my desk top PC which is made for windows!

If you are unsure get te Mac Mini so that you can switch between Windows and Apple. I know that I am going to wait until the Intel chips go into the Desktops.
i'm guessing you mean the powermac.. but as for "desktops" they are already here with intel.. the imac http://www.macmall.com/macmall/families/newimac/ and of course the mac mini.. http://www.macmall.com/macmall/families/macmini_intel/
