I have ironed out most niggles with my new build, except one.
When software or updates ask for the PC to be re-started, the machine will close down windows, but then hangs, blank screen and hdd access light on.
If I hard - reset all is fine.
Could this be a memory issue or the two wires for the reset switch being visa-versa on M/B headers.
(when I first installed XP it hung at the loading screen so I had to do the first ever boot-up with one stick of RAM. Now all is fine with both sticks in except the issue i have described)
Memory timings are 4-4-4-15 2T at 2.078??,, ithink Volts)

Note to Sammorris:- you warned me about this M/B did'nt you !!!!

I did indeed, and the problem you have is one of the most common problems with that board of all, I had to that with the board periodically as well, I just lived with it, never found out how to solve it, if there even is a way.
