I have 3 xboxes all with the same problem. No audio and video and a flashing red led. I replaced all 3 eeproms and even rewrote one to see if that would fix it. I have an eeprom reader/writer and I'm trying everything to get this thing working. I know how to make an xbox hard drive fro scratch and all that other good stuff I just can't get this going. I tried addeeprom.exe but I dont understand how to patch the cromwell-patched.bin with the eeprom.bin in the command prompt. I have unauthorized Flashbios 3.03 but I have no idea what to do with it. Someone please help me.
Seems to me that you will need to install a chip to bypass those issues. Get a cheap chip such as the Hyper X, (no soldering required), use a Slayer's 2.6 disc to install then perform a softmod, remove the chip then install it into the next Xbox and repeat the same. If done correctly, at the end of which you should have 3 softmodded Xboxes and you then could sell the chip to someone else.
Thanks for the reply shademand. I have an XB.I.T. 1.5 chip. I installed it and here is the link to the software I'm using to flash the mod chip. http://www.modchip.com/xbox/xbitsoftmanual.htm I'm trying to patch the cromwell-pathed and my eeprom with addeeprom but I need a step by step because obviously I'm screwing this step up. Once I get that right I can flash the mod and I should be good. Can anyone explain this step to me? Also where can I get a Slayer's 2.6 disc?
I have no idea how they function I only have experience with Spiderchips & Xenium chips. Its been my experience that placing a Slayer's 2.6 disc in your Xbox it then usually auto finds and flashes the correct BIOS.
okay first things first, @ shademand jsut so you know slayers isnt a flash disk, it has nothing to do with your bios, it simply is an autoinstall disk that contains an option to backup eeprom and install the evox dashboard, that is all. now @ manny I wouldnt recommend using that flashing program they are usually poorly written and not very reliable, you say that your chip has a cromwell bios on it? well you can use this easy method http://www.hackdabox.com/Duox2_Flashing.html (its written for the duox2, but it has the same basic priciple. or you can network flash http://www.hackdabox.com/networkflash.html
@ theking07, Please refrain from any attempt to provide me with your unsolicited advice! I've repaired and modified hundreds of Xboxes and I do it on a daily basis, so I am well aware of the many uses of Slayer's 2.6, its an auto installer that also, contains the most popular BIOSES, as well, at least the one that I have does. The person asking the question here was Manny1982.
dude I dont care how much (or how little) you know, your being an arogant [bold]bleeper[/bold], and I'd wish you stop. I might have different information or opinions than you, let the question asker decide which to follow.
@thekingo7, Look all you needed to do was answer Manny1982's question but you tried to be a smartass and address me. What are you attempting to force your advice/opinions upon me? I simply don't see where you got the idea I wanted to hear from you. I simply told you that I did not require your advice. So if anyone was being arrogant it was you. Now, if you don't mind please don't bother offering me your opinion or advice unless I post a question asking for it, just answer the question(s) the posting member is asking and there won't be an issue.
thekingo7, you just got a 2 day ban because of your attitude. keep it up & it will get longer or permanent!!
