Hey dudes, not long ago I softmodded my Xbox by following the great HOW TO: Softmod Correctly tutorial of chunckhead using USB stick and Splinter Cell. I ran xbmc from UnleashX dash as app, FTPed the box from my pc and listened to radio from the net. To make the long story short, it all worked fine, until... Until I ran a backuped game (Dungeons&Dreagons: Heroes). Since then the Xbox refuses to load uUnleashX dash but only MS dash. Strange thing: the backup of this game still worked fine. I tried various things: - Restore Mod backup from E: - FTP Xbox (use of splinter cell-softmod menue) to copy my backup of xbox C:/E: partition - Install softmod without and later with prior uninstallation of the softmod - I spend now some days with google to find a solution However I didn't figure out how to get back to UnleashX dash. Can anyone please help me? Thanks a lot
Have you ever tried to actually start from scratch and re-softmod it? Because this is what happened to me a few years ago and all i did was re-install the softmod. The explanation of what MIGHT of happened is that when you ran the game, it might of updated the dashboard. So UnleashX doesn't run because you might of downloaded oudated linux. THIS IS A THEORY. Hey Modboxer, thank you for your reply and advice. This is what I tried already, several times. However, I used SID 4 as softmod software. Now I found the SID 5.01. Does this Mod updated MS dash? Can this also be used with HOW TO: Use a USB Thumbdrive as a Memory Card? Does it make sense to try to Mod the box in single dash mode, as for now I used the dual dash mode (Knaves Ndure, Open tray = Retail). Thanks
Hey folks, to answer my own questions: SID 5.01 taken from Xbox Software: Download Here!!! does work via USB exploit transfer and also Xbox does now boot to UnleashX dash. Thanks again to Modboxer
