there are 2 ways to softmod, Action replay and hotswap (opening computer case and swapping the xbox drive into it). THEY ARE ARE THE ONLY 2 WAYS TO SOFTMOD. Your only other option is to get a modchip installed.

My tutorials explain almost everything. You can't have it both ways...

You can use my softmodding guide to show you how to softmod without having the Action Replay, but you need a modded xbox.

Or you can make an action replay (also in my tutorials)

you could borrow a memory card or dish out $30 for an action replay

i have 1 question... i have been checking thru the internet ant i found this adaptor that connects the xbox to the computer via usb... my question is if it would work... i have an unmodded xbox and want to softmod mines... dont have the money for an action replay, theyre too expensive and im not tryin to sacrifice my computer by hotswapping... so my question is if you could transfer files to an unmodded xbox via the adaptor... i have googled this but couldnt find any answers... so if someone here has tried this and works please advise me...

Yah that thing on the internet won't work and as far as hotswapping goes if you have and old computer you don't care about do it on that.

The chance of doing damage to the PC due to Hotswapping is almost none!

the screwdriver is a standard one that you will find in any set of torque drivers you should be able to pick one up for like $10 from virtually any hardware store (is the case in Australia anyway)
