You can buy a compatible thumbdrive for less than $10.

this will do you no good unless you have one of the 3 original games to softmod..... and you need to create a usb connector onto your xbox....

why don't you try the hotswap tutorial? you only need a computer and a working xbox for that to softmod.....

Sorry, I used a 1GB USB stick, and here's a list( not complete) with 2 GB drives that work:

Yes, you totally can. I used this tutorial to hotswap using ndure. Using this tutorial you don't need the game or action replay.

You do need: ndure, XBHDM, and the 5690 dash files. Took me a while to figure out, but I'd recommend following both the Error 16 instructions AND the ndure hotswap instructions for building XBHDM. Basically both of those programs get injected into XBHDM, then you create the linux iso to boot on your hotswapping computer.

The next thing I'd point out (because this will save you a couple of hours of trial and error) is that if you want to run XBMC as your dash (default after the ndure hotswap will be UnleashX) is to ftp in and replace all of the files in the E:\dash\ folder with XBMC so that your default.xbe file is in the E:\dash folder.

Thanks sdoggy, and I dont think I want XBMC as my main dash, but which would you prefer UnleashX or EvoX

Dunno... I don't see any benefit to them over XBMC, so I always go straight for XBMC first.
