Hello all, I have a samsung T619 phone and my problem is that I can't seem to use my mp3's as ringtones. I'm able to transfer the music files by bluetooth to my phone and play them on the mp3 player but the phone will not let me set these files into ringtones. I've read t-mobile has done this to force you to buy ringtones from them. I don't know if this is true but it is frustrating. I've also read that if I can convert the files into 3gp files everything will be fine. I want to give this a try but I can't seem to fine the software that will do this for me. Can anyone provide me with some info on some good software that will convert my mp3 music files into 3gp files? thanks
i googled "mp3 to 3gp free" and came up with all kinds of hits. i was just going to post youa link, just google and check it out. google is your friend!
I found a converter called "Imtoo 3gp converter" and this program converted my files to 3gp without any errors. The files could then be set as ringtones. I still don't understand why me changing the file extension from .mp3 to .3gp didn't work but atleast I found something that does. Thanks everyone for your help.
