i'm trying to make my first backup and would like some advice as to whether i'm on the right track as i cant afford to many more coasters! i've used dvd decrypter to extract the files to my hard drive,resulting in the following : VTS_01_0.IFO VTS_01_1.VOB VTS_01_2.VOB VTS_01_3.VOB VTS_01_4.VOB VTS_01 - Stream Information text document i put the ifo and vob files in a folder marked " VIDEO_TS " i also make a folder named " AUDIO_TS " which i leave blank what do i do with the text doc.? using nero i then burn using dvd-rom iso or dvd-rom udf ?
It looks like you ripped just the movie files from the dvd, in which case you will need to do a little more work before being able to burn a working dvd. I suggest you start by doing a little reading, either the articles on this site or the guides here: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdbackup-guides.htm P.S. The text document is not needed.
