Here's a problem I've trying to figure out for sometime. I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this but I hope some of you can give some tips.

I bought Sony DVP-NS575P last summer, attached it to Sony STR-DE595 amplifier and view it on Samsung CT-2085 (veeery old) TV. I live in Korea and every part was bought here.

I haven't have problems when viewing rental DVDs etc. but just recently I bought a DVD set from Finland (AKi Kaurismaki movies) and I just cannot view those here. When I play the DVDs I can hear the sounds perfectly but the image is all black and white, and it travels up and down all the time (which makes it impossible to watch the movie). After noticing the problem with DVDs I also noticed that the same kind of picture problem appears when using the DVDs setup and playing MP3 cds.

I have tried connecting DVD video cable directly to TV but the problem remains.

My DVD is area 2 and the DVDs I bought area area 1-6.

I would really appreciate any replies, tips and suggestions.

    HH

hmmm.. not sure what you ment, but I checked the TVs setup options and didn't find anything sounding like that. Theres no external switches anywhere in TV.
