Last night I installed a Matrix chip in my XBOX. I flashed it with the evox 2.6 blue bios. When i boot with the chip in mode 2 (always on) i do get the blue logo. Although, i have heard that where it normally says microsoft below the logo it should say "Matrix Inside" mine stills says microsoft. Is this a problem or is everything correct because i get the blue logo. So far i have tried Samsung & Maxell cd-rws with no luck. I have a v1.0 with a Thompson DVD-ROM. Can anyone with a similar situation recomend a good brand of media to use. I plan on trying a TDK and Sony tonight. Another odd thing i have encounterd is every time i burn the Evoultion X Dash to a cd-rw (i've tried with an already made iso and by making my own with xiso) after im done my CPU can always read the disc it comes up as My Disc and when i click on it i see the iso. I've read that you arent supposed to be able to view it with your CPU. Could this be why my XBOX wont read it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
don't use xISO that program sucks.. problem after problem with that shit.. if you get the blue X it is working.. I used a maxell cd-rw and it worked fine... don't use xISO ever for anything it sucks... just a reminder
If you dont have evolutionX installed on the HD i think it will still say "microsoft' even though the X is blue, which means the chip is working. I would recommend memorex discs, and like Dank was saying, dont use xiso, use craxtion or gdfimage to make your image
