Hi; I just bought the six season collection of all "Sex and the City", which plays great in my stand-alone DVD player attached to my TV, but wouldn't play on my computer using WinDVD or Windows Media Player, or Media Player classic. I don't get any error messages, these programs just act like they are trying to read the DVD & waiting. & waiting & waiting & waiting. I searched for other players & downloaded AVS DVD player -- which worked great for season 1, but won't play season 2 or higher DVD's. My computer is region 1, the DVD's are region 2, but I've been running DVD Region Killer, and it works on all other disks; and like I said, season 1 but not >= 2. Any ideas what could be the problem or solution? Otherwise, running XP sp 2 on IBM thinkpad t40. Thanks, Paul
Do you have AnyDVD, try with and without AnyDVD running. You can always set your drive to region 2, maybe season 6 is protected from Region Killer. Is there another computer you can try the movie on as well?
Try the DVD43 software. It will help to get rid of any protection. And I know Movavi Video Converter has the built-in "anti-protection" also. You may try to play your DVD in the program to see if it works. Link: http://movavi.com/download-videoconverter
