I was wondering if I can change the guts of my sons ds into another ds shell. My sons ds was attacked by my dog it still works, except for the top two buttons. Id like to swith the guts into another ds that doesnt work. Can it be done or am i doomed to by another.
if the ds still works, you can buy a replacement case for it, the time and effort involve changing the case, depends how nimbles your fingers are, can be long time. when i did it before took me about 2hrs. its very fiddly. the case can cost about £10+ and you need a tri (or is it trigram) screw driver, cost a quid or two. cheapest place i know is dealextreme.com
Just make sure that you get a good repair guide. there are two posts in the last week from people who weren't paying attention and broke the touch screen cable clamp, which now renders the DS unplayable until the logic board is replaced.
