Hello. I purchased a Sonic MyDVD and I'm having some problems. Whenever I add a movie about 170 mb, on the bottom, where it tells how much space I have left to put more movies in, it says that the movies are about 800 mb.

I'm sorry Sean2790, unfortunately I'm unable to provide you with any real help except the advice I've been given about the program Sonic MyDVD.

I've been told that this software package is extremely unreliable and that it freezes and crashes with Windows XP and Windows 2000.

However by the sounds of things you may not have experienced the above problems as yet, but that could also be that you've not run the program thoroughly.

The only thing I can suggest is that you should consider replacing or exchanging that software with another software product.

And once again I do apologize for not providing you with a real solution to your problem, Sean2790.

I am having the same problem with sonic. I will try to put 2.9 GB on a dvd-r and it says there is not enough room. I always have to re-encode to some other crappy format. I would like to know what this is also. I have been trying to figure it out all week long. The problem is with sonic/my dvd and not record now. But to create a new dvd that are not vob files you must use this option. It's wierd how I've been struggling with this same problem all week and someone else posts the question.
