Go to the start menu, then programs. Go to the sonic program, but choose record now instead of my dvd. Close that annoying wizard. Hit the data tab at the top. Then hit the add folders/files button. Search for the two folders that dvd shrink created for you (audio and video). Add them both. Yes, put in the entire folders. Then hit your red record button at the top when you have a blank dvd in your drive. I hope I didn't leave anything out, I'm not in front of my home computer right now. Sonic and dvd shrink should be fine for 98% of what you want to back up.

velocity9, Welcome to our little corner of the web,

I think using DVDF Decrypter would be a fine idea - especially because of the price -

Head over to the bottom of this thread link, I have listed every setting you'll need to burn with DVD Decrypter -

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/79846

Some burners work better with DVD backup applications than others - personally I have never used Sonic although I had it also with my PC, I've been extremely happy with the burner's that I do use.

As for Nero, it's an excellent investment, with all the B&W - not to mention Nero’s recode 2, which I like very much for editing my DVD's.

Here's a place to purchase Nero for one of the best prices on the web -

Should you need any additional help, stop back, you can find me over there, by the potted palm tree behind the water-cooler :p)

    Cheers,

    Pete

i just notices that when i re-authored the movie it put both the 16:9 and the 4:3 movie in the shrunk folder. no wonder the dvd was so damn big. i adjusted the 4:3 movie with the slider all the way to the left which and put everything else as auto adjust. im re-shrinkin it know and i will try to burn. tell ya know how things go after its done.
