I have sony's architect authoring for dvd program. I am unable to select in preferences the ability to burn to a dvd-9 disc. It only shows the choice of either 4.7 or 3.9 gig disc. What am I doing wrong. is it the software version is to old? Or that I installed the sotware before gettinga dual layer burner? Ron
I have version 3, so I cannot help you with your particular version, but you should check online if there is an update version. Version 3 had 3 major revisions so there is a chance that there are some major revisions for version 2.
Thanks, found out on Sony's sites faq that evrsion 2.0 doesn't offer that function. Have decided to buy the upgrade that allosw me to burn to dvd-9 and also have dolby digital soundtracks as well. Ron
They are coming out with version 4 soon (some time this year I think), so version 3 should be very cheap. You can download the trial for now is the price is too high. Also, look for discounts or maybe they have them at college campuses. THey usually offer cray discounts to college students. Just go in the bookshops and find the order forms. You don't have to be a student, only go into the bookstore in campus.
I've ordered through an upgrade for $60 or so Vegas® Movie Studio™+DVD Platinum Edition 7. It comes with version 4 of architect. Thanks for the help. Ron
