Hi, I'm a complete newbie to this and am looking to begin learning digital editing to make dvd's and that.
Would the Sony DCR-DVD205E be a suitable camera for me? would i record onto dvd then have to copy the videos from the dvd onto the computer to edit?
would it be better for me to get a memory one and get the clips using usb? or is getting them off dvd just as easy?

    Cheers, Mark

The Sony is a good DVD camera, however if you are looking for a format that is easy to edit MiniDV is a better bet. Also the quality is better than DVD or hard drive.
Have a look at the Sony DCRHC94E or the DCR-HC96E.
