    Hello,
I don't know if anyone can help me. I've had this camcorder for a few years all of sudden the tape wouldn't eject. I took the thing apart (stupid move) and unfortunately pulled a ribbon cable off and bent the tape holding cage (thing that moves up and down and ejects tape). Also a previous problem is that the ilink port doesn't work anymore. I have many tapes that I never transferred to DVD and I need this camcorder to be operational. I checked Sony's repair site and they have a flat fee service of $214 which I am willing to pay. Does anyone know if if this flat rate fee will cover and repair all these problems or will there be additional fees? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Last 6 sold on that online auction site that sarts with an "e" were between $79.00 and $200.00 all units were working.

Sony probably won't fix your camcorder anyway, they'll probably replace it with a refurb if they have them in stock.
