I have never been able to burn anything with this DVD Burner. Basic problem is that whenever I attempt to burn something, the systme ejects the CD or DVD and tells me to insert a blank disc. I can take them right out the unopened package and I get the same error. I use the Nero Software, to attempt to burn. I have downloaded the latest firmware and nero updates and still have the same problem. Sony's website had a walk through to change the DMA settings and I have attempted that as well. No luck. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you. PS - I hoped I picked the right forum, first time I have ever done this.
wrong forum, but welcome to AD~ i have that same drive...since you are trying to use nero to burn...could you post up a nero log so i, and others, can have a look-see to find out where the problem lies? make sure to edit out your nero serial number before posting so others will not steal/use it~ it MIGHT be media related...what type of media are you using? what is the media code on them...i find that my SONY is VERY picky with media, got to be decent for it to burn correctly (from personal experience) hope that is a start...
