Sony Dru-720A HELP

had this dvd player for a while, but all of a sudden it didnt want to play dvd's no more, it plays audio and software cd's but it wont play dvd's, when i put in a dvd i can hear like if it was trying to load but it doesn't, completely clueless

 

A DRU 720A is a cd/dvd drive.
What program are you using to play your dvd's.
I have heard that sound before: When a bad copy will not play.

 

is not the dvd because i have put in brand new dvd movies,is a dvd-r,it just stopped playing dvd's

 

Again: you put your movie in your drive-it don't play by itself.
What movie playing program do you open to play your novie?
Power DVD-win DVD-media Player?

 

i use nero,windows media player, divx

did not work, says i dont have a disc in my drive which i do
