could somebody help me please.??? having same sort of problem. trying to use sony 500dru500a with nero but having problems. also having trouble using record now dx that came with dvr rom. have backed up disks with rec now dx but majority fail. nero reconises writer as cdr and dvdr but locks up when i press start.
I have the same burner. I use dvd decrypter or smartripper then DVD2ONE and then Gear DVD . All burn't discs perfect. If i use Nero instead of Gear i have problems so i stick with Gear.
have the same burner also have no problems with record now dx or nero, the nero version i use is 5.5.10. What media are you using and what firmware is your drive currently at 1.f with me, media could be your problem with the record now dx, sounds like software problem with nero,
