Using dvd decryptor and my sony won't read faster than 2.0 times. Samsung dvdrom/cdr combo will read 6+ times. Updated sony firmware to 1.1a from sony support. Firmware claims to incrase read / write performance. Used nero infotool to verify DMA is on.
Used nero CD speed to rule out decryptor. Sony drive still at 2.0 and samsung over 6. computer is p4 3.0 1 gig ram. Plenty fast. Sony spec says dvd read 8 times max. Any thoughts?
